  • Indian head massage courses: learned skills

Posted by admin on February 23rd, 2010 and filed under Careers | No Comments »

One advantage of being trained in the art of Indian head massage is that your set up costs are low; no need for equipment. The Indian head massage although quite simple, is very relaxing to the client. It is done by bare hands and as a massage therapist; you would concentrate primarily on your clients face, scalp, neck, and shoulders. Among the beneficial aspects of the Indian head massage is that it alleviates neck and back sores, and mitigates physical tension and migraines. Indian head massage courses are common place now a days and it is typically a short massage course designed usually for an already qualified massage therapist to add yet another string to their bow.

Massage therapy courses – easy or hard work?

Well it does obviously depend on what IQ you have and whether or not you are practical and coordinated with your hands. There are a few sections to massage therapy courses and massage therapy students will find some areas more difficult than others. Firstly the academic subjects are in depth. You must know where everything is in the body, what it all does, what happens when it goes wrong, what conditions can people have where it is unadvisable for them to have a massage session etc. The practical sessions are really an art form however. It doesn’t matter whether you are the brain of your county or just average Joe, if you have feel for it and not uncoordinated you should find this section fairly easy and enjoyable.

Beat the “Broke as a Joke” Blues

I don’t know about you, but I am so sick of being broke! I know that we are coming out of the recession (or so I’m told), but it is still so freakin’ hard to make ends meet! My husband used to be a bartender about 12 years ago. I told him that I should learn how to become a bartender. I know that bartending can be a bit romanticized in the Hollywood (think “Coyote Ugly” or “Cocktail”). The “aristocrat of the working class” was a phrase used by Caughlin, a character in Cocktail. Maybe that is true, maybe it isn’t. I definitely need to make some more money though…
