  • Getting The Tempo

Posted by admin on February 4th, 2010 and filed under Uncategorized |

Whether you have been playing golf for the first time or you have been playing it for years, you will definitely experience some worse golf swing tempos in one way or another. Some people think that when you have a faster tempo, you are going to hit the ball much farther, but this is really not the case.

You are going to be successful in your golf swing tempo if you make every part of your swinging in tune. It does not matter if your stance is good, as well as your downswing and backswing. In the end of it, all that matters is your right golf swing tempo.

The very first thing that you have to keep in mind is to drive through the ball and not hit the ball. This is one major disaster that most new golf players do. This could also be called our follow-through. Once you hit the ball and stop at a certain impact, the result is a much shorter flight. Try to be consistent in your tempo. Practice this by hitting several buckets of balls during your regular training.

The next thing you should know is that different clubs provide different tempos. You also have to know that you will use different club weights and different clothes each time you are in the golf course. Our bodies and our minds can easily adjust and master things if we do it in repetition. You can learn something faster and easier if you do it repeatedly, so you have to synchronize your mind and your movements and condition yourself every time you practice and play the game.
